Autumn quickly disappeared over the horizon, the clocks went back and Winter has rushed in with storms and snow for some.

For all of us National Trust tenants, whatever the World News, Autumn makes us think of keeping our homes warm and dry in the coming Winter.

Here it is – the best time of the year to live in an old (and most of them are) National Trust property: cool on hot days and nights.

The National Trust is concentrating on its Nature Programme in the coming years.
