TANT Newsletter #12

Red flowers in a garden.

Here it is – the best time of the year to live in an old (and most of them are) National Trust property: cool on hot days and nights.

The mould is receding, the fuel bills are diminishing, and now the Renters' Rights Bill is making good progress through Parliamentary procedures.

TANT is also much involved with the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024, hopefully to the benefit of NT long leaseholders.

All of this is expected to improve matters for all National Trust tenants – anyone who lives under a National Trust roof.

Lake.

TANT volunteers spent over 6,000 hours in the last year helping tenants resolve issues, either before the tenant involves NT staff or to help them involve NT staff to get queries and concerns dealt with. If you have a query or need help, please complete our Request for Assistance form on our website or telephone our helpline on 0845 463 3563.

For repairs, please use the 24-hour NT service by email at tenantrepairs@nationaltrust.org.uk and/or for emergencies telephone 0345 646 1311.

Pink flowers in a garden.

We are currently in the process of revising our website and would welcome your ideas going forward.

It is holiday time for most folk. We hope you will be able to head for the coast or countryside with the sun shining on you. Do take your Tenant Pass Card with you for free entry to all NT properties and free car parking.

We hope you have a wonderful summer.
