Who we are

This website is run by the National Trust Tenants' Association (TANT), a charity supporting National Trust residential tenants.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our registration number is Z9349170.

What data we collect

We only collect data that people give us directly through this website, mainly through our forms:

• Newsletter/mailing list sign-up: your email address
• Contact and assistance request forms: your name, email address, and the details you provide about your enquiry
• Volunteer sign-up: your name, contact details, and any information you provide about your interest in volunteering
• Cookie preferences: your choice of cookie settings, stored so we don't ask you again on your next visit

We do not currently take payments or donations through this website. If that changes in future, we'll update this policy to explain how any payment data is handled.

We do not collect more data than we need for these purposes.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

• Where you've signed up to our newsletter or mailing list, we rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw this at any time
• Where you've submitted a contact, assistance, or volunteer form, we process your data because it's necessary to respond to you and provide support, which is in our legitimate interest as a charity supporting tenants (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f))

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Once it's no longer needed, we delete it. If you'd like your data removed sooner, see "Your rights" below.

Third parties we use

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and process the data above:

• Webflow – hosts our website and stores form submissions
• Google (Gmail) – we receive form notifications and communicate with you via email

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party for marketing purposes. Where any provider processes data on our behalf, they are required to handle it securely and in line with data protection law.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to remember your cookie preferences and to understand how the site is used. Cookies do not contain any information that could identify you personally. You can manage or refuse cookies through our cookie preferences banner or your browser settings.

Email communications

If you've subscribed to our newsletter or mailing list, we'll only email you with relevant updates from TANT. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
