TANT started out in 2002 when a number of local groups of National Trust tenants joined together to raise standards and keep rents affordable in their communities and throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It was incorporated as a formal association in 2004 and is dedicated in its support, advocacy and campaigning to ensure the National Trust adopts best practice and has exemplary relationships with everyone affected by its property and land interests.
Operated entirely by volunteers, we believe that the residents occupying National Trust properties, and the communities around them, are of the greatest importance and key to the preservation of the buildings and land they occupy.
In its 20 years TANT has instigated some significant changes and improvements some of which are here.
Every year TANT has helped many tenants, leaseholders and the National Trust resolve problems and disputes, without any charge. We will continue to do so and are here for you.
