I have lived for the past 6 years in a converted Mews house on the National Trust Brockhampton Estate in Herefordshire, part of a development of 12 former stables that were associated with an original 18th Century manor house.
For the past 5 years I have been Chair of Brockhampton Mews (Maintenance) Company Limited which holds the underlease for these properties for which the National Trust is the Landlord.
In this position I have represented the interests of the leaseholders at meetings with the local and regional National Trust teams.
I represented the views of Brockhampton Mews Leaseholders at the Government Leasehold Reform Select Committee in October 2018.
I have been working with Mike Dennys in the last 18 months as a member of the TANT team looking at Leasehold reform within the National Trust.
I am a very active and competitive cyclist training for, and competing in, the annual 100 mile Prudential Ride London event and regularly travel to Mallorca to train for the event. Upon retirement in 2005 I returned to academic study to gain my BSc Earth Sciences degree with the Open University and maintain an interest in the subject.
