I live in a beautiful, if tiny, National Trust property in Surrey with my husband Nick and our dog Jake.

We moved here from a nearby property in 2017 and love the cottage and the village. I’ve worked in local government all my life and am now semi-retired.I’m keen to help the National Trust live up to the ideals of its founders. Olivia Hill, who has a bench dedicated to her up the hill which I visit regularly, was one of the Trust Founders. She is often seen as the pioneer of Social Work and was a campaigner for fairness and the earliest forms of social housing.I have been a landlord and property owner in my lifetime and understand some of the challenges of managing repairs and refurbishment of older houses.
